The Olight i5R is a handy companion for everyday use, it is small, light and as we have come to expect from Olight lamps, it has a brightness that belies its size.
It has two levels, 350 lumens and 15 lumens. At high level, it can illuminate 64 meters.
The lamp comes with a special 1420mAh rechargeable battery that can power the lamp for up to 37 hours. As usual from Olight, due to the lamp head heating up over time at the highest setting, the brightness automatically decreases in a programmed manner, so therefore with the factory battery it maintains 350 lumens for the first 10 minutes, then gradually switches to 150 lumens and then to 15 lumens.
It is very easy to use, the switch at the end of the lamp is used to turn it on and off, as well as to switch between the two levels.
With its double-bent belt clip, it can be attached to a trouser belt and also holds firmly on a hat, so it can also be used as an occasional headlamp.
